Here is a revised version of my SNG digest for June. I fixed a few links, added explanations, and added OP and follow-up posters. I decided to include a few marginal posts that hammered home key concepts, as well as some interesting debates. These are in no particular order of greatness; they are simply the best posts I could find in the month of June.

Hand Questions
Thread on unnecessary blind defense (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2730591&page=2&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1&vc=1)
Joefitz posts a hand on attempting to resteal blinds with ATs at level 1. Flyingmoose and Kyro (among others) set Joe straight.

Octaveshift wants to know how to deal with a SB who keeps raising you 3XBB. Lastchance, astarck, Freudian, and others respond.

Folding TPTK (AK) on flop to all-in (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2721124&page=17&view=coll apsed&sb=5&o=14&vc=1)
Erniebilko asks if he is a complete wimp for folding TPTK (AKs) on a medium-scary flop. Chaos ensues (freemoney, sponger, lastchance, Myst, and others respond).

AbelM asks how to defend against a probable Phil Van Sexton (pushing all in with a bunch of limpers when you have sh*t cards). Responses by Nick B., Adanthar, and others.

Pushing TT on JJ3 flop (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2702215&page=35&view=coll apsed&sb=5&o=14&vc=1)

Why do people insist on playing Ace-rag? (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2728500&page=4&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=14&vc=1)
tlow03 asks when to play Ace-rag early on in an SNG. This is a pretty easy question, but I just added it because it’s such a HUGE mistake and SO many people do it on Party.

As long as it's quoted from this post I don't mind.

Thanks for the feedback guys, this took a lot of work.

I think this post was the best of the month /images/graemlins/grin.gif. Great work!

It will get even better if everyone that thinks that a post is missing reply with that post. You missed (or excluded?) the most obvious one:

Theory of Stack Sizes---Hypothetical Response to the Gigabet Dilemma (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=2610396&page=0&view=c ollapsed&sb=5&o=14&vc=1)
Gigabet tells us when to throw the ICM out of the window and make loose calls to obtain an imposing stack. Don't try this at home! This is +$EV when others read it /images/graemlins/cool.gif. Interesting stuff though.

Yea, I figured everyone would already know that one:P I tried to go for the posts that didn't have 10,0000 hits:)

Good point about Gigabet's post though.

Here's another great post I missed (hey, it was my first try):

new SNG program (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=2706767&page=0&view=c ollapsed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1)

This is a great new SNG program that could potentially rival SNG tracker (although it has very limited functions now...there are a lot of sweet buttons I can't press:).

Put this one under 'software'.

p.s. This is the last version of the June digest (for some reason I copied the links into MSWord and it won't copy back into a post, so for 2.0 I had to do it all manually again) so just add other great links from June to the replies.

OK, thanks. The wikified version is at http://poker.wikicities.com/wiki/SNG_Digest .

Could we divide up this task so as to reduce the burden on you in the future?

(I had been thinking about doing something similar, using the wiki, for the internet at large -- that is, 2+2, RGP, any other forums like UPF or pokertips.org, or wherever else there might be new content each month.)

The wiki looks great. I am a huge fan of this idea.

I can do the digest again for July, but after that I am done my summer of bumming around and going to gradschool. This should be more than enough to get everything started.

Haha, man I'm laughing my ass off here. Been reading all of these and then I get to the discipline post. I see "TOW, pergesu, and others respond." "Holy [censored], I got mentioned as a respondent in one of the month's good threads." I check it out, and it's one of my insanely drunk posts.

Glad to see I've got such a great rep around here /images/graemlins/grin.gif

gildwulf,

Very good idea... I would highly recommend you hosting these links on your own site so that finding the latest top list would be as easy as clicking on a bookmark. Making it an RSS stream would rock...

I'm betting you could easily generate enough traffic to warrant some banner ads and have a way for people to submit links for consideration to you.

Or... you could just do what you are currently doing which is awesome and very much appreciated!
