Here you go...

Canon Powershot S1 IS, $300 @ B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?A=details&kw=CAPSS1&is=REG&Q=&O=productlist&s ku=317348)

B&H is very reputable. I have purchased over $5k of equipment from them in the past year.

I own a Canon 10D and have recommended this camera (PS S1 IS) to many friends, each are very happy.

Enjoy.

Don't be such a little bitch. You can't waste the art of visual life on a shitty camera like that. It's a travisty. It's like doing math with a mentally retarded mind. The language of god in something that can't understand it or twists it into [censored]. Like Falwell. You'll die like Falwell. Get a Nikon D70.

No prob, here's the pocket cam for that price I like right now...

Canon Powershot A510, $179 @ B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=365654&is=REG& addedTroughType=categoryNavigation)

These little guys are getting fairly cookie-cutter in nature. Canon's have great optics though and the 4x optical zoom on this one is great (never use the digital zoom...never).

is it possible to buy a camera that takes like 4000x4000 pictures or something ridiculous like that? if so how much are they?

That camera looks positively goofy to me. It's HUGE! So is the new D50 and Canon's SLR equivalent. Everytime I see some guy lugging one of those things around I start cracking up. When they're advertised in magazines they are smart not to place anything next to it, like a pack of cigarettes, so you can get an idea of just how goofy in size it is.

Canon Powershot A75 or A80,85...or whatever number they're up to these days.

Phenominal digital camera.

daytime pics turned out really good --- took one video of the juggling bartenders near harrahs outside bar, turned out great also

nighttime pics of the strip were a little blurry, not sure if its the lights flashing or the limits of the cameras flash or that the cameraman was ripped

edit: the camera is very small - that pic makes it seem larger

I have one model below the SD200. Daytime pics are fine. Nighttime pics you need to make a few adjustments to get them to come out good. After you get it set up for your nighttime shots, have it use a little less flash, the settings store in the manual setting. Nice small camera. Small camera is what I wanted.
