villain had been playing alot of hands and once he got a big stack, hed been trying to push around (eg. raised K7o UTG). when he push all in, it was instant. so it didnt look like trips. i thought my outs were all good here, and was getting some decent odds IMO. so do you think this call here is good? im still not sure. what about all streets in general. preflop flat call is fine cuz the original raiser had really loose raising standards even in EP.

I don't care what the raising standards of MP are, I'm folding this PF. You called of 1/7 of your stack with a medium suited ace. Yuck.

Push the flop. There's already 475 in the pot and you won't mind taking this down. Since you called the flop, you really have no choice but to call all-in given the size of the pot, but you mangled this IMO.

I do not think that the PF call is fine. Thats a lot of your stack you are calling off with a very marginal hand. I would have raised the flop if I did play, probably all-in. If you think your Aces and 9s are outs, you will be committed with the hand the rest of the way. Pushing the flop gives you some chance the villian will fold the flop. So it gives you an extra way to win. When you just call the flop, and you think Aces and 9s still are outs, you have to call his turn all-in.

yea, pushing the flop seems right. for some reason, it never came to mind during play.

i thought i mangled this hand too, thus the posting.
