not bad, with those numbers, he likely has a lower set than yours. 10-10 is always possible.

Long time reader, first time poster.

Based on what information we have, I like your play here. It's far more likely he's being stubborn about a high PP, given his VP$ of 19%. Given his 3-bet and flop aggression, 99 through QQ and AA makes a lot of sense.

How were you playing up to this hand? If you were a playing a tad LAG, his range of hands increases to include flopping a lower set on that board.

I don't mind the defensive turn and river play. He may just have 1010. If he played a higher pocket pair you could have extracted an extra river bet; oh well.

I think to him it appeared I was stealing a lot of pots preflop. I was on a pretty decent rush and got some good hands in a short time peroid. I Figured he could have been getting frisky preflop with 99 and flopped a set thats why I slowed the turn. Figured I was good on the river but the 3-bet scared me and then my worst nightmare came true when he showed TT taking the pot.

I'd be interested to see what the button had with all the cold calling.

I don't much like the river. Most TAGs will make this preflop 3-bet from the SB with JTs, QTs, KTs, ATs, TT, and maybe even ATo. So you are beat a reasonable proportion of the time here. I think you should just call the river bet.
