Yes, but there would be no reason to be ashamed of liking Devo (although "Whip It" was not their finest moment).

"Don't you (forget about me)"

"Shout"

"Hungry Like The Wolf"

I think maybe these songs were playing on a distant radio somewhere during some of my finest sexual conquests.

There can't be any other reason for my liking them.

As an 80's kid....songs I like that are extremely cheesy are :

*Maniac - Michael Sembello (Great in Flashdance - Funny as Fu*k in American Pie 3)
*Electric Dreams - Girogio Moroder

These are the only two I can think of....without looking at my ipod next to me......

I'm not sure, but I think it is "I Ran" by Flock of Seagulls. Also, when I think of this song, I think of the Fez version, not the original.

Also, no one remembers the name of the other guy from Wham! [Nelson Muntz voice] Ha ha other guy! [/Nelson Muntz voice]

actually devo was a solid band. maybe a little over-catchy, but they were pretty sweet.

stuff my brain hates but my ears like:
"don't you forget about me," anything by the cars, most metallica, madonna's a mixed bag.. and for some reason I can't think of anything else.

Huey Lewis and the News - I Want a New Drug

"Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83,I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consimante professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour."
