My partner has been telling me for months about an essay/Article/Faq?tutorial...something...that Fossilman wrote quite some time back about how to beat single table tournys. I have searched until my fingers are bleeding...can anyone point me to it? Please?

Your friend may be confusing the Moneymaker guide to STT's. That should be easy to find.

I agree as I'm almost 100% positive Fossilman never posted such a FAQ, or any methodical post about how to beat SNGs. In the days where the MTT and STT forums were one, he used to answer specific questions about SNGs, but never really got much into SNG strategy or anything, since his main interest was always MTTs.

However, if you are a beginner (I mean the OP, not you eastbay), you can still learn a lot from the way he was thinking about MTTs, since much of it is pretty relevant to SNGs too. Most of the theory for both games deal with not-deep-stack NL (but there are many differencies too).
