** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to Hero [ As Kd ]

x folds.
Hero raises [175].
x folds.

Villian1 in CO raises [300]. The only read I have on this guy is that his stack is small.

x folds.

Villian2 in SB is all-In [1040]. This guy seems a little loose.

BB folds.

Hero???

Normally with equal stacks I'd probably fold here.

Considering the stacks, is a call here a good play?

If my AK can beat the SB, I can still take down a decent pot even if the CO calls and beats me.

Anyone have any other thoughts on this, or is it autofold because of the reraise and rereraise, regardless of the stack sizes?

I like AK, because it's easy to get away from.

That said, I think you should fold here.

I like you stack just fine right now. I wouldn't gamble.

I usually call in this spot if I can afford to do so. As long as no one has AA, KK or AK you are in pretty good shape. You are roughly 33% to win against a worse ace and an under pair. You are a slightly better off against two smaller under pairs but not much. Sometimes you will see both have worse aces in which case you are 50-55% to win the main pot and 70-75% to win the side pot.

It isn't a great spot by any means, but I like to gamble and this is a decent spot to do so IMO.

Raise. Reraise. RE-RERAISE.

I dunno. Smells like KK or AA to me.

I'd fold here. The situation smells a bit fishy and you have a very healthy stack. With 1000 chips I would have called.

I know that smell too, but I gambled anyway....

Hero calls [890].
V1 is all-In [250]
** Dealing Flop ** [ 8s, 7d, 9h ]
** Dealing Turn ** [ Jd ]
** Dealing River ** [ 4s ]
Villian1 shows [ Ad, Ac ] a pair of aces.
Villian2 shows [ Tc, Ah ] a straight, seven to jack.
Hero shows [ As, Kd ] high card ace.
V2 wins 1030 chips from side pot #1 with a straight, seven to jack.
V2 wins 1700 chips from the main pot with a straight, seven to jack.
V1 finished in seventh place.
V1 has left the table.

I finished 4th.

I should have liked my stack the way it was before I called. I think my misplaying AK in situations like this has been a leak in my game.

Thanks for the comments.
