I haven't been up there in a few months, but I remember thinking: wtf is a Reed's on every corner?

I see Duane Reads everywhere in the city, and even though I'm sure that there are more Starbucks, I think that I just notice it more because I expect to see a Starbucks on every corner.

Had to pick Starbucks because I can't think of any Duane Reade I can stand in front of and see two other Duane Reades.

Starbucks, and Subway doesn't even come to Duane Reade and Starbucks.

Maybe it's where you spend your time. I'm staying and working downtown and there are so many Subways here it is insane.

I remember the second or third time I went to NY, I tried to use a Reade's as a landmark when walking somewhere. I'd never heard of them and had no idea they were everywhere. I made one wrong turn and got lost pretty quick.

I chose Starbucks because there's a corner near St. Mark's where you can stand and see three of them. Also, Duane Reade serves more of a purpose at least.
