I obviously froze up in this hand and looking back still don't have good feel for the correct play on any street. At the time, thoughts going through my head include:
1. How valuable is this one card OESD (poor implied odds)?
2. What is the value of 88, 3rd pair, in this multiway field?
3. Do I have a hand to protect or is there value in a raise?

Maybe c/r the Flop? Maybe bet the Turn?

The action as you describe it is confusing. You give a read on MP1, but then he folds preflop and reappears on the flop. However, MP2 was a poster who raised, but then disappeared on the flop. Who's who?

I think that because of the overlay in this pot, you played it fine. the flush draw sucks, but there are so many people in the pot, we can draw to six clean outs. the turn is a very nice card as we can fill up and not have to worry about it being a 4straight. nh

My mistake - MP1 as listed on the Flop, Turn, and River is actually the poster, MP2.
