The Next Voice You Hear_ The Best of Jackson Browne

good cd i recommend it.

especially like

fountain of sorrow
late for the sky
lives in the balance
next voice you hear

as well as stuff played on radio but that stuff is kinda old

I'll have to get it - did not know he had a "best of" CD out. By the way, isn't Late For The Sky an old tune? Mid-seventies, I think. Did not get radio play of course. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

i think lyrics are ,

Caught between the longing for love
And the struggle for the legal tender

...

And we'll make love until our strength is gone
And when the morning light comes streaming in
We'll get up and do it again
Get it up again

.

just for the record, heh.

You're missing the best lines:

I wanna know what became of the changes
We waited for love to bring
Were they only the fitful dreams
Of some greater awakening

...........................................

Oh the laughter
Of the lovers as they run through the night
Leaving nothing for the others but to choose off and fight
And tear at the world
With all their might
While the ships bearing their dreams
Sail out of sight

..............................

Funny Jackson Browne story...I had listened for years and years and it wasn't until a year ago that I realized what the song Rosie was actually about...heh...I lent the cd to a friend and he mentioned it and I was like...no way you're crazy...then of course I listened to the song again and felt kind of dumb /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
