Villain is 71/12/1.1. Is this standard?

I would bet this flop and turn with any 2 cards.

but you fold J8s on the button after 2 limpers? Isn't the button of much more value to a fearless bettor than a more passive player.

I am tight preflop(21/15), therefore I showdown more good hands, so forth more often than not when I go to war on the flop I have a good hand, so when I come out betting HU or 3w from the blinds my unthinking opponents think i've hit again. This is my reasoning.
