1st place?

red sox looking very good, schilling starts his rehab assignment wednesday. oh man, a fully healthy starting rotation. can a fat man dream?

for Yankee fans, at least there is some change on the horizon. when you look up in the standings you should be seeing the orioles mud ring and not the red sox.

i reserve the right to revise my earlier yankees prediction. they may struggle to stay above .500, which is amazing. and awesome.

Ortiz's home run was ridiculous.

wakefields knuckler was unreal. you see that strikeout of thome? lol, the ball dropped dead center in the zone and all thome could do was look at the ump and ask for help.

Yup. Great game all around. The 8th was looking a little iffy but he pulled it together.

As far as change on the Yankees' horizon - good thing for them Toronto couldn't score today or the NYY would be stuck in 4th.

And Baltimore just lost. Go Sox.

you know its bad when you refer to a comeback win over the devil rays as a potential turning point in your season.

I'll be the first to admit that the Yanks have looked like a baboon's ass this year but.....

How many times over the last 10ish years have the Sox been ahead of the Yanks or even in first place on July 1 and managed to hold that lead in September???

People, its FRICKIN JUNE! Take it easy. You'd think the damn Sox fans would have learned last year that the World Series is won in October, not June.

What about Toronto? They Play later also, and can move ahead of the Yanks today.

1.5 games up after today. more importantly the starters going deep into the games has allowed the sox to rest Timlin since Wednesday and put embree/mantei in some low pressure situations.

I've met JBB, along with a bunch of the NYC crowd. If they do that Bunkfest thing, I see a NYC trip in my future.

Think RJ gers off his A$$ today and actually remembers how to pitch? /images/graemlins/mad.gif
