Tonight's show is scheduled to be the 1k min/no max buyin 10/20 NL game. Since last night's show really wasn't one for the archives, maybe tonight's "big game" will have some better poker in it. Speaking of last night, this thread (http://tinyurl.com/78u52) got started earlier today, hopefully Bart will add his thoughts to what happened last night.

The only problem with getting expectations for good poker is,
most of the time POKER is boring, especially when you can't edit it.
Friday is usually entertaining.

I am again having problems with the video. So annoying.

He didn't read the thread? Denny! How can you even respond to the question if you don't even care enough to read the thread?

Kevmath

Are you watching from the browser, or from WMP?

Which seat is El Diablo?

Denny,

From Russ Mcginley's post in the thread in question:

[ QUOTE ]
She raised all-in and Moe had 69o and said (audibly) "I have your favorite hand", to which she replied "6-9?" Then he showed it and they both laughed. Denny said (If I recall) "She likes six-nine." Bart then snickered and I believe said something like "I'm not gonna touch that one." I don't recall anything else being said about it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bart,

I asked you why, in a thread a few weeks ago, why you stopped making comments here on 2+2 after the show.
Please continue doing so when you have the time!

Not the ElD from 2+2.

Bart, I read your post-show comments. If you are looking for responses about the play, you are unlikely to get them as this forum isn't the proper forum for discussing hands. If you want to talk about what Daniel Negreanu had for lunch yesterday, you're in the right place.

Kevmath
06-24-2005, 09:22 PM
Like Bart mentioned, it does help to describe the hand in question. Usually when the show's over, interest in the thread seems to go down until the next show starts.

That's true Russ, But I like reading his comments, and a few people answered him as well.
Although some of their comments were not particularly kind.

I heard about the 5 min delay. Im not saying 5 is using the phone. The point is the announcer went on and on about the integrity of himself and the game. In his speech, he included the fact that no electronic devices are aloud. Not 10 minutes later, boom I see a cell phone. I do realize the 5 min delay negates it, just thought it was funny after all the hub bub that I see the phone.

Hosts of LoTB

Thanks for responding so directly to the note I sent you guys.

A few things:

Bart does a great job and I have no quarrel with any of the analysis during the hands, however critical. That's why people play and we watch.

The 6 9 thing has been blown out of proportion. Apparently SHE made some comment herself that he picked up on. All I heard was Denny saying it was probably her favorite hand. I wasn't offended, just surprised that the talk would be so rough when the point is to make everyone feel welcome.

The only REAL question I had regarded the decision to raise the blinds ahead of schedule. I still can't understand why the short stack would be treated that way. Question her play? Sure. Dbl her blinds? No fair.

How do dealer tokes work at The Bike? Are they pooled, is the "Live at the Bike" table set up differently from the tables in the main room. Just curious. Thanks guys.

With that rag flop and the queen coming on the turn, Dr.BB gets the other caller to fold. Why give the other player that much information by showing the hand? Being that Dr. BB is such a tight player, let the guy wonder what he had instead of giving anything away for free.

They are tipped by the winner of each hand played usually a buck or 2 or more!

I guess I should have been more specific guys, at my B&M there is a tokebox next to the table, and dealers take this from table to table, it looks as though the at the bike, each dealer carries that big honking tray of chips in front of them from table to table. Just wondering if dealer tokes are pooled at the bike like in AC.

In AC if a dealer is taking his tokes with him, they are not pooled. They are that dealer's alone. The big 3 (Borg, Taj, Trop) operate like this. Harrah's poker dealers used to pool theirs, but I haven't been there in a while, so that may have changed.

You never did talk about your 2nd in last Friday's limit holdem. How did you manage to pull that off?

It looks to me like Jillette (spelling???) is going like broomcorn's uncle. My question is: Do rocks like Jilette show a consistent profit in the larger NL games, you had mentioned before that with in a NL game with deep stacks you really need to mix it up, I haven't seen Jilette play a hand yet! Thanks for the feedback.

Cash games and it isn't close. In actuality, this 1000 NL game is pretty boring because there haven't been any Francisco's in it for months.

Anyone know the name of the book on no-limit restricted buy-in cash games that one of the guys wrote? I think it was Bart and maybe someone else. Any idea where to buy it?

Mike in the 4 seat may kick this game into high gear, and create huge pots, including running the turn/river multiple times.

What is the box thingy with chips in it? Never played at the bike..

Russ McGinley
06-25-2005, 12:27 AM
It is a security box to keep chips (sometimes a pack of cigarettes) on the table reserved for a player who is not at the table, but allows for someone else to play in the vacant seat while the original player is off doing something else.

Give up Bart. If Scott doesn't understand that it doesn't matter whether you always reshuffle or never reshuffle when "running them" two or more times, you're not likely to be able to explain it to him.

06-25-2005, 12:33 AM
