BB is 38/0/0 (26 hands) - essentially a pure calling station
UTG is 32/6.5/1.1 (46 hands) - for the most part staightforward from what I've seen, nothing too tricky

Should I be betting this river after it gets checked back around to me?

You mentioned that UTG is straightforward. You merely called on the turn, so he wouldn't be expecting you to bet the river so he could checkraise if he had a made straight. He likely doesn't have the straight, and the river card is as scary to him as it is to you. If you bet you will be paid off by a lot of lesser hands.

Bet it and fold to a checkraise, especially with the BB in the hand.

If UTG is straightforward, the river check looks like he made 2 pair on the turn, maybe something as strong as Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif. Maybe even 99. I'd bet here and fold to a check-raise, since neither one of these players is likely to c/r with less than a straight.

I think I would bet and then cry when he raises, but I think it is very possible he could have something like 2 pair in this situation. I think these are always tough decision.

I think you have to bet and call a raise.

Look at the reads. I think this is a fold if he gets checkraised.

UTG would probably go for a check-raise on the turn and not on the river if he had a straight-- he has no reason to think you would bet that river. KQ, 77, QJ, and even Q9 or 99 seem more likely than KT or T8 to me. No way any other ten is three-betting that turn.

I'd bet the river and fold only if BB check-raises and UTG re-raises. The pot's too big to fold top set for a single bet, even if it seems clear that you're dead. Then again, I think I'm a river calling station.

Oh, and I'd cap the turn.

Agree, but I like capping the turn. BB and UTG's river action after a check will give you a good indication of their strength. If you get checkraised after you cap the straight is obvious, and you get the most value out of your hand when UTG has 2 pair or a lower set.

Thanks for all the advice everyone.

After looking at all the comments here, and thinking about it again, I definitely agree that a bet is in order on the river.

Thanks!
