View Full Version : What is "Triple Draw?"
Is it some form of 5-card draw?

Yes, triple draw is 5 card draw. But, instead of just one draw, you draw 3 times. As a result, there are 4 betting rounds.

Actually Triple Draw is a dinosaur card game, kept alive my old timer road gamblers and poker tournaments such as the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Open /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

After each betting round (except the last) can
you toss all five of your cards and get all
new ones?
Are there blinds?
Thanks

The game is played with blinds just like hold'em.
Yes, you can discard all 5 cards and I'm sure your opponents will be delighted to see you do it after calling a bet.
I've never seen a triple draw game spread in Vegas which wasn't at least 100-200. The game just isn't spread for low-limit players. During the WSOP, I saw two players play heads-up triple draw lowball at 400-800 stakes.

What happens when the cards run out? Or is there a table max of 3 people?
This sounds like a fun game I could call at my weekly poker game but with being able to draw 3 times and all 5 cards each time, we could run out of cards really quick.
