I have a fairly loose table image. at this point i was 8th out of 56. should i be gambling to accumulate more chips in this spot? do the pot odds warrant a call? the villain hadn't been too active, although i do think he was frustrated with my constant raising.

you need to win the pot 4/11 to be chip neutral, or about 37%. this depends tons on how wide a range he'll play back with. against JJ-KK / AQ+ you're ~32% (did not check actual numbers). i think there will be enough 77-TT / AT / KQ hands to call, but it's hard to know. i'd call given your image.

what about other considerations given that if i win i'll be in a great position and possibly able to garnish more chips...although i'm not the most skilled big stack player.

if i lose i'm back down to around average and will no longer have any big stack leverage.

if i fold i will still have a very healthy stack, can take stabs at some blinds, and wait for better spots.

i don't think this problem simply comes down to the math of whether calling is correct against his possible range of hands vs. the pot odds. am i wrong?

yeah, i think there's something to that, but frankly, i don't think anybody (including me) has any idea how to apply it. sklansky says that chips have decreasing marginal vlue; negreanu & gigabet says they can have increasing marginal value. i'm happy to just call it a wash and try to maximize my chipEV here. (with a smaller stack, i would be risk averse).

This one is close - if Villain had been playing very tight I think I might find a fold. But, usually I call here and pray for clubs.

BTW, that is an unbelievable ass.
