Damn, my game is boring - been trying for three days to find a hand worth posting.

Anyway, I don't know that this is one, but it does leave me asking a question:

[$25+2 turbo on PS]

What hand strength do you require when pushing back on an apparent blind steal? We weren't quite bubbling yet here, but SB had been been doing his fair share of 3x PFr'ing from CO/Button/SB (unopened). Is a hand like this an easy push/fold for you? Would you even consider cold-calling?

Level VI (100/200)

Seat 3: bluefeet (2720 in chips)
Seat 4: playera (2790 in chips)
Seat 7: playerb (1870 in chips)
Seat 8: playerc (3680 in chips)
Seat 9: blindstealguy (2440 in chips)

blindstealguy: posts small blind 100
bluefeet: posts big blind 200

Dealt to bluefeet [8 /images/graemlins/club.gif A /images/graemlins/heart.gif]

3 folds, blindstealguy raises 400 to 600
bluefeet: raises 2120 to 2720 and is all-in
blindstealguy: folds

This is really close, but I think it's fine...

[Thanks for the reply]

Thinking about this, I suppose it might be too 'situational' to declare an acceptable hand holding. In this case, it was fairly easy - he was doing this far too often, I rarely made any type of stand, I only showed winning hands early, etc.etc.etc.

It just seems there might be a range to keep in mind, on the off chance your read is wrong and your going to the flop w/ all your chips.

Would this range be similar to the hands you'd open-push with closer to the bubble....Ax, PP, K?+, etc.etc.? A tad stronger perhaps?

I'd probably just fold unless the dude was stealing a large percentage of the time. Maybe push back with AT+ against normal people. Against someone named "blindstealguy" push with any 2.

(ooooooooooone tiny little bump)

Anyone other thoughts?

I doubt I'd push with any 2, though his name definitely suggests that you push a wide range.

22+, A2+, K9+, QJ, maybe? Certainly at least 22+, A5+, KT+

lol...alright, I have to work in the morning - but on the off chance someone else takes a crack..... EYE named him blindstealguy /images/graemlins/wink.gif Converter didn't work, just cleaning up the names out of respect for my fellow gamboooolers.

Oh, rofl. Got it. Meh, I use my ranges, but I just can't put people on a read here I trust. Part of not playing at the $215's. Don't try to outfox people, because there's nothing to outfox.
