Care to enlighten us on those 10ths. Last time I went out in 10th I was all in AA vs JJ a loooong time ago.]

Seth Money
06-23-2005, 09:34 PM
In regards to the 10ths. I know one of them I had flopped a set and another guy moved all in with open ended and hit... Then the other one I completely misplayed AK. Flopped a K and a guy had flopped a set.

Your 8th, 9th, and 10th place finishes seem high, but it is such a small sample that nothing can really be read into it.

Over my last ~700 $22's, my 8th, 9th, and 10th are 4.8%, 1.4%, and 1.5% respectively.

4th place is my most frequent, at 16.34%... :|

Unless you've also locked yourself away with a big bag of cocaine i see you failing miserably.

How many you playing at a time Seth? In fixed sets, or do you keep starting new ones as they finish?

Sorry if you answered this already..

Seth Money
06-24-2005, 04:27 PM
Yeah 750 isn't doable. Which I thought it would be. Thought I would be 8 tabling consistently. I would be happy with 250. This is all cumulative as well

06-24-2005, 04:28 PM
I'm gonna have to say it can't be done if we look at one thing. You played 20 sngs in 4 hours (assuming you posted immediately when you finished). At this rate you can get in 5 sngs/hour....120/day.

So Far - 90
Friday (Assuming 8 hrs remaining) - 40
Saturday - 120
Sunday (Assuming you play until 12:01 Monday) - 120

TOTAL - 370

You will get halfway there at the rate above....playing nonstop.

could you explain to me how you're going to lock up 750 in 3 days 4 setting???? Are you not going to sleep??? hmm calculations 4 setting is 5/hr 3 days 72 x 5 360...you're half way there!!!! You better kick it up to 12 tabling continuous like now dude. 12 tab 15...16/hr 750/16. Only 46.875 hours...that room service better have speed on the menu. GOOD LUCK!!!

YTV,

I guess I am even the best at losing /images/graemlins/smile.gif In all seriousness would you like me to lie and move those numbers up to 4 or 5th? Doesn't really matter today or for the 3 days. I lost, thats all that matters. Long term I want to get those numbers down.

Here's an interesting 10th story for you 10 hands in.... Guy has raises all in for 550 on the button with Q10 I have QQ in big blind. Flop comes 101010. Thank you very much. Next hand I am in I move in with 350 of what i have left Kh10h... flop 7h8h9h turn is an 8 river is Jack guy has pocket Jacks. It happens it sucks but it happens.

The first hand is completely understandable, even if you go broke on that hand. But the 2nd hand, that should have been an automatic fold.

I'm sure you're right to some extent. But at the 20+2s, I'm almost positive that having more than a few last places is a much bigger cause for concern. Higher the buyin, more willing you should be to gamble early, and thus risk busting early.

My 9th and 10th places stay around 1.5%, and I've maintained ~20% ROI over a few thousand SNG's now.

10th place finishes should come from losing with big pairs or losing when you flopped 2 pairs or better. Sometimes TPTK. Those things just don't happen before someone else busts out that often.

No. Incorrect thinking. You should never "gamble" at any buyin (and by gamble, I mean take coinflips), if you feel you have a significant edge over your competition. This is true at the $6 sngs, and is true at the $5000 sngs.

You're taking "gamble" too seriously. I meant you should be less afraid of getting involved in big pots early. This means taking advantage of smaller edges, and using your control over your opponents to an advantage.
