I butchered this one....discuss.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, A/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
2 folds, UTG+2 raises, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, 3 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (10.33 SB) 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif (5 players)
Hero bets, UTG+2 raises, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 folds, MP3 calls.

In hindsight, I felt I should have gone for the C/R here.

Turn: (10.66 BB) 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, MP3 calls, Hero calls.

Hoping to scare them into a freecard....didn't work.

River: (13.66 BB) K/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 checks, MP3 bets, Hero raises, UTG+2 calls, MP3 calls.

Also, should have bet out here, and 3 bet. Going for the C/R is just silly.

Final Pot: 19.66 BB

I don't think I ever like doing that.

Was UTG+2 a tight raiser or something? My default would be to 3bet I think, especially with a large field and a great hand. As you played it you know what you did wrong.

I assume MP1/MP3 are very weak. You're in great position to 3-bet preflop for value. Since you didn't, checkraising the flop looks good, as does leading the river. Still, these 'generic' lines can't account for MP1/MP3's startling ability to cold-call and play like idiots in general, so your line probably made more.

The river is especially bad though, as any decent player will read you for a flush and rarely value bet. God bless MP3.

You pretty much highlighted your mistakes. C/r, c/c bet/3-bet/cap/as much as you can on the river.
