This is a hand from a 20+2 PL tournament on PS. Villain had been moved to my table several orbits ago and had routinely been limping from EP but had yet to show down what he had been limping with. Anyways I assume he is limping with trash and the following hand ensues.

This is on the bubble btw and I have shown down nothing but solid hands. Any comments are appreciated.

Hero folds PF.

What range did you have UTG on when you raised and what do you think he'll lay down?

My guess is he's not laying anything down in his range.

what's the question?
This looks like revenge of the limper. Someone who limps and keeps getting raised eventually will stop limping or will come to this conclusion: if I know if I limp I will be raised then going forward I will only limp in with a really big hand, my guess is your in bad shape.

I'd say his limping range is around any two broadway cards, anything below a-t, suited connectors 56s+, and any pair below 77

Of course I'd also say AA and KK are possibilities.

Who says I lost this hand?

uh, nobody. Unless you think A8o is a legitimate raising hand, you still got busted. Lighten up, chief.

Yah I definitely was not a fan of going to the felt with that hand, the guy coincidentally flipped over KQ I was just wondering if I should have just mucked even if I knew what he had.

If you knew he had KQ? I would hope you call.

I can't muck it there, but I'm no MTT guru... off the top of my head you're getting better than 3.5:1 holding an ace, you won't be hurt much by this call if you do lose and you have a chance to bust the limper (I automatically label him a bad player) with no further decisions required. Clear call, IMO but I'm not happy as I click "call", I expect to see a PP at the least. I don't know WHAT that guy was thinking limp/reraising into the chip leader with KQ, even suited. Mark him donk, I suppose.

Well like 3 orbits earlier this hand happened

PokerStars Pot-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

MP2 (t25381)
MP3 (t7146)
CO (t6260)
Hero (t13692)
SB (t11892)
BB (t11078)
UTG (t3660)
UTG+1 (t6665)
MP1 (t16811)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls t400, 4 folds, Hero calls t400, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t1600) 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)
SB bets t800, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero folds.

Final Pot: t2400

Of course I didnt KNOW what he had, but is just limping on the button the best idea when I am pretty confident that my hand is a marginal favorite against his? Of course I fold to any action from the blinds.

Thanks for any comments, I'm just really tryiing to improve my MTT game.
