Be honest, as most golfers lie.

1) State your handicap (or average score if you have no handicap)
2) Lowest 9 hole score
3) Lowest 18 hole score
4) Times you play per year

-My handicap is an 18 (used to be around a 12)
-My lowest nine hole is a 42
-My lowest eighteen hole score is an 88
-I play maybe once every two months these days, though college will change that.

sorry guys, you've met your match.

1) I play like I'm handicapped.
2) 46
3) 99? I've only played 18 holes in a day several times. I usually only do 9.
4) Back when I was in high school, about 5-6 times a week. Now, it's less than 5-6 times a month

2) 33 -3
3) 68 -4
4) the past few years maybe only 5-10 times a year and most of these were drunken scrambles, but this year im playing in a golf league - so i play once a week for league and will probably play a maybe 10-15 other times this year

im from mich so the time to play golf is limited also

i worked at a golf course in the summer from the time i was 15 - 21, so thats when my lowest scores were made ----

1) no current handicap, although my lowest was +3.9

2) 30 (I think I've done this 5 times)

4) Probably 15 times a year for the last 3 years. In peak years, close to 150 times in a year.

Oh, and I've never had a hole-in-one (or double-eagle).

I'd say most PGA Tour pros would have handicaps of +5 and above. While +4 is quite good, it is extremely difficult to take 1 shot off your game at a high level.

BTW, +3.9 was my peak. When I was playing a lot of golf, I mainly hovered around +2.5 or so.

1. 4.7
2. 30 (it was on a par 34)
3. 65 (par 70)
4. 35 x per year - usually in big clumps. I'll play in a five day tournament, then not touch the clubs for three weeks.

Most of this was about ten years ago, and all of the best scores were on the course where I worked for five years. These days my game is not what it used to be...jobs and real life are a bad thing for your golf game. I probably average around 79 these days, and can easily blow up for a 90 on a tough course, although I can still get lucky and go pretty low once or twice a summer.

The game is still in there somewhere, it's just hard to find.

Here's some goofy numbers for you. I bought a new putter today. Last saturday I hit 15 greens, 15 in a row in fact, missed 1, 17, and 18 and shot 76. Eeek. New putter oughta fix that. (I did leave myself some long putts hitting that # of greens, but my putting still sucked.) Then on sunday I shot 83 by going 36-47. What does it say about someone's game when you are in a threesome, maybe 18-20 balls at the beginning of the round, and I ended up not finishing 18 after losing my last ball and was unable to get another one from either of my playing partners.

Lumpy's sister handed me a nice fat check in Minneapolis.
I am eternally grateful.

Ping craz-eeeeeee thing. 34" standard lie (flatter now the ping rep said, never liked ping putters because they felt too upright, this one isn't) centershaft no offset. It rolls em pretty good. Playing a course today in a scramble that I have only played a few times, but has great greens. We'll see how it works. The craz-e gives me a good picture of how to stroke through the line and seems to get the face where it needs to be at impact. We'll see. Mostly I need to practice a lot of long putts, but buying a putter seemed like the wiser course.

Ping rep worked w/ me on fitting a driver and some fairway woods too. Yesterday will prove an expensive one on the range I think. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif (I think I'll carry the better fitting driver 20 or more yards more BTW. Gotta wait for that one to get shipped tho.)

I posted this after too much partying last night.
This is more accurate:

PGA (25 tournies, 1 cut made)
Hogan/Nike/Buy.Com (7 tournies, 2 cuts made)
S. African (9 tournies, 5 cuts)
European (2 of the S. African tournies were European events)
Asian (failed to qualify in Manilla once)

13 years of struggling mini-tour events
(including Tight Lies which was omitted)

There now. My conscience is clear. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
