Been playing PokerStars' $16 2-table turbo SNGs lately. I've been making the final table but finished 6th, 7th and 9th in my first three attempts. The blinds jump every five minutes, and in general these tournaments last an hour or so.

Looking for tips as to how I should play these. Thanks in advance.

"First in vigorish", as Harrington puts it in HOH2, reigns supreme in these events. You get to this point pretty quickly. When it's folded to you in LMP/LP, push. Virtually, any two will do. Never let yourself get blinded down or anything near it. You simply can't wait for hands in these. Force the others to have hands or make tough calls.

The "gap" is huge near the bubble, so others will likely be playing tight. However, when another player is open-pushing a lot on your blinds, you need to loosen up and call more liberally as they probably understand this concept as well.

The key is becoming aggressive when it gets to that final table.

You simply don't have the time to sit around and wait for a big PP. Start stealing blinds. Let the cards fall. Push short stacks. Have fun.
