I don't hate it. The turn raise gets button out, but I think that with out a read Call-Call is a better line.

I lost a drinking competition and barely made it out of the bar's front door before having a massive booting session. I am fearless.

Well, the turn raise does help protect your hand, if it's currently best.

I think I would take the free showdown on the river, though.

MP2 has represented a fair amount of strength, and if by some chance he picked up a flush draw on the turn, it got there.

Since I can see the whole hand (and the fact that you just got called on the river), I don't really know what MP2 had. A set of sevens or twos that feared JJ/TT seems possible, though not especially likely. Or maybe a JT hand that feared the (mathematically unlikely) same thing? I suppose T9/T8/J8/J9 is possible (probably suited in each case), and I guess 88/99/QQ are as well.

Your play represents at least an overpair, though, so I wouldn't be too surprised if you got called down by a better hand.

He had K10 and I took it down (and sobered up overnight). I think I was pushing an edge that may not have been there, and I'm not sure I really like my play here.

I like it a lot if you check behind on the river.

Yeah, taking the free showdown would have been good.

I would like to echo what others have said: take the free showdown.
