I think you need a very good read to make this play.... Otherwise, I really want to lay this down and get ITM.

I dont you need an amazing read on the person. Granted if hes an idiot thats going to call with anything it could be different, other than that i think most people are going to fold this IMO. look at the short stack, Villian needs aces to call this. I love this play.

i do this kinda thing all the time.. it DOES help to have more chips though. but meh, they call with VERY few hands. holla

alert players with very strong hands will also just be raising here

unless you've got a huge lead over a medium stack going after a short stack, i generally don't like the risk of not placing

While true in some situations, the 20s on Stars are quite soft and i think Villian is folding pretty much all but AA and KK to get into the money. Overall with the play at Stars 20s wouldnt u say this play is +EV ?

1) You are risking 2 virtually sure buy-ins for a better (but not great) shot at 1 or 3 additional buy-ins.
2) You are called the minority of the time but if called, you will rarely win.

1)is partially valid for the other big stack. However, if the big stack is smelling the potential of a bluff and has a good (but not necessarily great) hand he has a great shot at winning the tourney. If he rightly assumes the bluff and calls, he will win often.

So, you need some read of him but you'll have to think more about his probable read on you (your image), I think.
