Cold call preflop too loose? And on the flop...

UTG is a complete maniac postflop. Bluffs most streets, plays some 90% of hands (although limps with about half), and will just about always go to the river, and call a raise there with not much.

BB: 60/6/0.96
MP: 38/13/0.97
CO: 31/19/1.18.

(nice table, eh?)

fold it preflop and then fold on the flop.

On the flop its very possible your A is no good, and this very well might get 3 bet.

Thanks. My preflop thinking at the time was that if 5 people are going to the flop (which was almost certain), it's worth it. However, I guess that's more true with a suited connector than a suited ace.

Postflop, the decision was close. Worst case scenario is BB folds and it gets capped, right? CO is definitely calling another two if he did the first two, so I'd be getting 10.5+16=26.5 to 4. I know the maniac will bet the turn and bet/call the river, so that's (at least) another 6 small bets implied. So 32.5:4 or just over 8:1. If I assume one ace is dead, I have 4 outs, plus 1-1.5 for the runner-runner flush, so I need about 8:1.

I'm sure it's likely that I'm missing something, but given that's the worst case scenario, it looks like a call on the flop to me.
