so i'm thinking this guy seems pretty aggressive. but 40 hands isn't too many, and his turn c/r really trhough me off. so i want a decent hand where i can get to showdown

I'd call down 1.

I don't like the river check-raise. the turn is an odd move for an apparent lag so I like leading the river because 1) he could have something huge (especially with the backdoor draw completing and 5 pairing) and 2) u don't want to have to face a 3-bet and 3) might he not check behind a bit and 4) the chck behind usually means call a river bet with a thin hand or raise a monster.
