Were you calling a bet on a river blank?

He'll probably bet the river with any pair. Most people would have a very hard time laying down, say, A4 here, so raising is good. Fold if 3-bet.

I think that against most UTG limpers this is the correct play here. Raising &gt; calling &gt; folding, so voila.
