its been about 20000 hands since i posted my hows my stats after 7500 hands of 2/4. I'm ready to show my face around here again now /images/graemlins/smile.gif. anyhow, on to the hand.

i find myself in situations similar to this many times, having an overpocket pair, getting reraised on a board of undercards. what is the proper move? tighten up and call it down? heres a sample hand i just experienced.

Villain just sat down. no read

if you won this hand you should have won more, if you lost it then you should have lost more...

I would have capped PF, and 3-bet the flop. If capped, then I check call.

I think you went into c/c mode too quickly. Don't assume you're behind especially because you didn't push your hand that hard in this particular situation.

QQ, KK, and AA are gonna win a fair majority of the time unimproved on the river.

I find it rather hard for me to drop them if Im not clearly beat. One way of me finding that out is 3betting the flop. You could of 3bet the flop to see where you are at and take it from there.

Depending on what came on the turn and river, you can drop it if you don't improve and feel like you are actually second best.

ya, i'm realizing my agression numbers are far too low. i cant figure out why. i'm beginning to think i call down way too much, but i cant really see how that can be proven with pokertacker data or something.

Agression:
Pre-flop - 0.46
Flop - 1.22
Turn - 1.53
River - 2.12

any idea what i could be doing wrong to create such low #s

Definately Cap PF, and you have to 3-bet that flop, thats what overpairs are all about, you also have to consider all the outs to 2 pair an overpair has, I find this is one of the best things that can happen to AA etc.
