View Full Version : "Official" Live at the Bike thread (6/22)

According to the schedule, instead of the usual 30/60 limit game, they're dropping it down to 8/16 tonight, which should have many people seeing a flop and suckouts galore. Tomorrow night, they're doing a Playmate shootout from 9-10pm with a 1K shootout for a WSOP Main event seat. For those that are having trouble viewing the show off their website, put in http://216.53.204.10/bike/bike_300.asx into your Windows Media Player and be aware they're probably still running a preview before the show, so you may want to refresh your browser.

I hope they don't make the chnage to 8/16 permanent! i was actually gonna head out today until i found this out.

Kevmath

Maybe if the 4 seat was playing 30/60 the same way with the same stack of chips.

OMG, why I can't I live near LA!!! These games are insanely soft. 10 2 and 35 calling raises? Omg massive drooling going on over here!

Russ McGinley

This is the biggest donkfest I've ever seen at this level.

Is it hard to get on the "tv table" at the bike? I have some friends in LA I was going convince to go play one day...

Kevmath
06-22-2005, 09:33 PM
It seems that the Bike is holding down the ultra-loose aggressive button on a few of these guys.

Kevin...

Jive Dadson
06-22-2005, 09:34 PM
Now that we know players like this exist, what's the point? Don't they have an 40-80 or 80-160 they could show. I mean, really.

I was in a $6 $12 game at Bay 101 Sunday that had a couple of players in it who were this bad. I don't think I've ever seen this many mega-donks assembled at one table though.

Kevmath
06-22-2005, 09:34 PM
It probably depends on what game they spread, but they usually start play at the "TV Table" a couple of hours before broadcast.

Kevin...

... and seat 8 calls for a new setup.

Kevmath
06-22-2005, 09:37 PM
There's been some 30/60 games on L@TB that have been very loose at times, it's nothing really new.

Mine was really shitty for their little promo they show in the off hours, but i followed the link from the OP and now it's pretty smooth, but still a little blury.

Some guy just called all the way with A10, only gutshot draw and overcard, when he hits the overcard her checks instead of betting. Whats teh word for weak loose, only more weak loose than weak loose, uberweaken-loose?

Rhinehold
06-22-2005, 09:55 PM
Yeah, I've been playing during this broadcast and three times in a row got sucked out, first by top two pair (Q7) all-in bet getting called by QK and the K comes on the turn, once by a J/7 suited calling a pre-flop raise I made with my pocket JJ and catching the straight AND the flush, and finally when my pocket QQ all-in bet was called with a guy with a J high flush draw, and he catches it on the turn.

People have been calling pre-flop raises on me all night at UB and catching everything, good time to take a break and watch it instead of having it happen to me. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Jive Dadson
06-22-2005, 09:55 PM
If ever there was a time for table talk, this is it. There's nothing that can be said about these plays, but listening to the monkeys chatter might be amusing. I heard one of them say, "Take your skirt off, Alice."

Are you suggesting that when you have teh best of it you should weaken up because people will call and try to draw out anyways? Even if he still calls a raise is definently needed, top pair top kicker is gold compared to the hands everyone else is playing.

Russ McGinley
06-22-2005, 10:11 PM
No, but its silly to think that another raise would have gotten stupid hands out. I'd raise with anything decent in this game but I wouldn't expect any folds.

Rhinehold
06-22-2005, 10:13 PM
The way they are calling you would have to think a raise will be called by enough people to be more of a value than the slowplay, don't you think?

You missed the better part of the show, when there was a guy in the 4 seat playing just about every hand, throwing in blind raises and bets and actually came out ahead. The game was really loose aggressive, but it's really slowed down. The 9 seat's slowrolled about 10 times so far.
