Jim McManus will begin writing a weekly poker column for the New York Times. It'll start running this week in the NYT's Saturday sports section...

good guy. i played on his left for hours at the $2500 limit wsop tourney. still haven't read his book but i think i'm looking to.

I thought we only told successful poker players that they were bad card players.

I didn't know we were also telling successful writers that they were bad in that craft too.

I guess they were impressed by his dust jacket research on SS2 and HOH.

Otherwise, he is an excellent writer, good poker player, and an ideal choice.

Poker is really becoming respectable.
