I cap preflop frequently but not always. Given your preflop call I play postflop the same.

Do you think that for the same price maybe we can raise the turn and fold to a reraise ? I'm new to short handed, but I hate calling someone down like this. His 3 bet range would have to be KQ or KQs for this to work for us, right ? I figure pocket pair or better A. I wonder how many times he turns over a jand like QJs that you beat...

ah I didn't pay attention to the flush draw you pick up on the turn. I guess taking the card is worth it. Maybe you have any A any diamond as an out.

Thanks for the validation, Entity. Hands like these make me feel like such a jackass sometimes.

Against the average 40/15 schmoe, I think that ditching the river might be okay. Don't know how often they fire that 3rd bullet with QJ or KQ. I'd also consider raising the flop.

Huh? The board is 57579, which means AK has A5757, and he has A5757...

[/ QUOTE ]

No, the board is 55579. If it was 55779 I call.

I'm retarded. I guess it's hard to read the board when my blood sugars are low.

I would raise the turn and take the free showdown if you miss. Then, if he bets into you on the river, you can easily fold.
This would cost the same amount as your line, but with the added benefit that he might fold a winner on the turn.
