Im mainly a ring game player, but Im getting kind of bored with it, and Im just starting to get my feet wet with the SnGs.

I just purchased eastbay's software, and I was fiddling around with it. How exactly do you determine your $EV Prepost?

Im aware of the calcutations presented in TPFAP, whereby your chances of winning a tournament are equal to your chip percentage, but I was wondering how this is done for playing 2nd and 3rd.

Thanks

EDIT: For example, if you set stacks at: 2500,2500,600,2400, the player with 600 has an EV of 10%, though less than 10% of the chips at the table.

It is done by the ICM model. Let me see if I can find you a good post with an accurate definition...
