Is it more likely to fail when there's a thunderstorm or should this have no effect?

Amazingly enough, I had my internet connection crap out on me twice in all the time I've been playing SNGs (about 750 total or so). Both times were in Level 1 and I was able to bolt to the computer lab and play with overlap /images/graemlins/smile.gif
