Odds on favorite

Assume that there is 250 players in the WPO tournament.
1) What kind of odds would the favorite have of winning?

2) Approximately how many of the top players would you take before it would be an even money bet against the field? (i.e. "I'll take the top 35 and give you the field")

In a major event where all the best players show up, I have it on good word from a famous poker champion that no one is more than twice as likely to win as another champ. Especially in NL events that require quite a bit of luck to beat equally talented players. He did say that a guy with little or even moderate experience are probably at least 10 if not more times unlikely to win than a good player. In this case he probably would say give me 75 guys and you take the rest.
