If you have rakeback on empire its worth it, if you only have rakeback on another site, its not.

how hard is this to understand?

you have mgr, monthly generated rake (something like that), how much rake youve generated. rakeback gives you x% of that back, hence the name rake-back.

if you clear a 100$ bonus in june, 100$ will be subtracted from your mgr. this means there is 100 less they are giving you X% on. usually youd get X%, but instead you get 100%, when you got the bonus.

i think the misconception is that over those 1500 hands you don't get anything added to your mgr, which is not true.
