My read on villain at the time is that he was likely to bet a flush draw or a middle/bottom pair so I couldnt find a fold here. I thought a raise was in order to protect my hand from lone A-K-Q draws. Anyone disagrees/agrees?

I agree. And as no one showed any strength, I think you played it fine. Unless you were showed some lame 2-pair, I figure you won. Either way, nh.

I like it. Id probably chicken out and check through on the river but the river bet probably has value with your read on villain.

I'm mostly curious about what BB had, haha

The raise was fine. I might check the river though

What's the plan if a Q K or A shows up on the river?

Check through... against a bet it becomes pretty uncomfortable. If SB bets and BB calls, its a fold. If SB bets and BB folds, I would call and hope against hope that he was bluffing. A bet and a raise is a definite fold and if SB checks and BB bets ugh, I would call and pray that SB folds. I guess a raise might be ok if I had an extremly strong bluff-read on BB ("When you do not want overcalls" comes to mind) but since I dont have that its a close one between call/fold for me here, I would probably call.

Fine but I start check calling on the turn, Why is he still in the hand and what did he bet with.
