Raise preflop. Since you didn't, bet the flop.

Me too. There is a chance he checks through a weak 8 and he might have gotten there with the 4. I doubt he bluffs at this pot though.

I think like a flop lead better than a cr. When the flop is all undercards and I have a piece, I feel like it's unlikely for a cr to work unless I am behind. The BB is not the person you were hoping to cr but I would have done it anyway and played the same up to the river.

Raise preflop

what do you raise down to here? I usually do A9s/ATo/KJs/KQo/77, but apparently that's too weak. I just hate being OOP v. a loose limper without a showdowny hand, but than again Ax is showdowny.

I dont know if this is correct or not but against a loose limper and a tight BB I usually raise down to A6o/44/K10o and possiblly K8s depending on how weak the limper is postflop. I would like to see some more experienced posters opinions on this though.

I think that your default play should be to raise any hand that's good enough to play, it costs 1 extra SB. I'll grant that if the BB is sure to call your raise then their may be times it's OK to limp though I don't like it much in the 2/5 blind structure. Against an aggressive BB, your limp invites a raise with a wide range of hands.

I lead the flop... don't wanna give a freebie or a gutter a good excuse to get involved and take a stab. Small pot, I think often your villains let you have it here.
