The blinds are 15/30 early in a Party $10+1 tourney. I'm the short stack with t730. The villian is a LAG (42/18) with a medium stack and has been very active. I'm looking for help on all streets, but specifically the turn. Would you do anything differently to protect yourself?

This was played terribly by the BB, his slowplay backfired to say the lest. In this position on the turn I would just call for the 50 and see if you hit the str8 or flush, I am not seeing the reason for betting here, but it worked. I think the BB should have made a BIG raise or gone all in to protect his hand on such a draw heavy board.

I would also sometimes bet out on the flop here to try to win outright, but given the cards that would not have worked, but that never stops me!

Folding preflop isn't bad.

No way I don't call the turn to see the river. Raising is just plain dumb here. You don't have a hand. You can't raise unless you're semibluffing, and it appears you aren't. So just call the turn.

Yes, I agree. I got lucky BB played so poorly.

Hero is in LP with no strength shown and he has a reasonable hand. This hand shows exactly why folding PF is bad. These fish at the 10's will let you hit your hand and then pay you off!

Pre-flop: folding may be good, but calling not bad.

Flop: against someone 42/18 taking the free card is cool, against tighter players I might bet.

Turn: just call.

River: I'd bet less. How do you know he will call this giant bet?

This fish at the 11s would have re-raised the OP all-in on the turn.

Raising the turn to 150 was terrible. Luckily your opponent was a moron.
