Someone is playing slow every single hand and you type "hurry up!" and then just to spite you they play 10 times slower. They even burn their time bank just to show you who's boss.

I need a clever way to tell people they are slow w/o pissing them off so they actually speed up instead of slow down even more.

I've tried "TRY READING 2 POKER BOOKS INSTEAD OF 3 WHILE YOU PLAY" but that didn't work /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Maybe a more accurate statement would be "Try 8 tabling instead of 16 tabling."

some tard the other day raised exactly my stack when I was practically blinded off when we were 3 handed the other day, so I used my entire 60+ second timer just to be a dick to him.

how is that for playing slow?

I was unaware SNGs tested people's emotions, in this way!

People who complain about slow players annoy me much more than the slowplayers themselves.

I guess I just need to start 16 tabling then I'll always be slower then everybody else.

Slow players don't bother me a whole lot. It gives me time to pay attention to my other tables.

I agree. What situation that is causing someone to play slowly is going to be solved by bitching at them and telling them to hurry up? You are wasting your time complaining. Just be patient.

I use up my timer if any dickweed tells me I'm slow.

It's good for me. It's good for him. It's good for the game.

Anyone who types 'zzzzzzzzzzzzz' should be castrated.

By and large, I agree with everyone else that commenting on it will make it worse, not better, and this is something you just have to let roll off your back. Patience is an important part of poker.

But if you feel you MUST say something (and I, personally, wouldn't), you might try the inoffensive and concerned "u ok there, Ohio_superFish?"

Keep in mind that the person may just be experiencing connection problems, too. That's just part of online poker.

Reverse Psychology always works. Assuming it's a fish, you can manipulate them into doing anything. Afterall, "it's" a fish. "It" doesn't know any better. Tell "it" to slow down.

Sure if a few people are playing really slow in a 215 I'm in I just close it and start a new one, it's really helped my hourly rate.

here are some replies that usually speed things up:

"I'll be right back, gotta take a leak and grab a beer..."

"arrrgggg! damn diahrreah!!! Be right back...Man I really need a wireless connection and a laptop!!!"

"crap, my wife needs me to go pick her up from the bus stop. be back in about 15 minutes...gonna let my 15 yr-old-son play it while I'm gone. Please don't take advantage of him!!!"

u get the idea.

My response if I feel like I'm constantly waiting is to fire up more tables or read 2+2.
