Hi posters,
anyone knows where stud hi/lo games (and limits) are spread in US? (Here in Europe stud 8/b is totally unknown).
The only area I know where this game is offered is in Connecticut and in L.A.

Thanks,
Marco

In Las Vegas the Palms has it on Wednesdays & Fridays. The Orleans on Saturdays. Palace Station & Monte Carlo sometimes spread it too. Here and there at a few others as well.

Of course that's all low limits for the most part. It's played at the high limits as part of a mixed game rotation.

If you are looking for mid-limit (say 15-30 to 40-80) stud/8 in Las Vegas; good luck, you are going to need it :-)

Best of Luck

Canterbury Park in Minnesota had a $30/60 stud/8 game that was pretty strong for several months. I haven't been down there much lately, but I think it's pretty much died out. They do have a $4/8 game that goes most weekends and occasionally during the week.

The $4/$8 goes every day now. I haven't seen the $30/$60 get off the ground since september or so. They stopped spreading (trying to) the $10/$20 /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

I know the Tropicana used to have it in Atlantic City but this is going back a few. I haven't been there recently to tell you if this is stil current.

There's often a 2-10 Spread Limit Stud-8 game on weekends at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY (outside Syracuse). Plus, you can see 2-10 feet of snow fall while you're playing ;>

The Trop in Atlantic City does offer it, but there aren't enough people to play it hi/lo. There's barely enough people to play Omaha sometimes there. I've seen it go a couple times at The Trump Taj though.

Harrah's East Chicago spreads 2/10 ($1 ante, $2 bring-in) on weekends and will list it on the board at any time.

There are also card clubs in the Bay area that spread 4/8

Muckleshoot in the Seattle area sometimes spreads a 4-8 (maybe spread limit... I forget) stud/8 game on the weekends.

In Connecticut the Foxwoods spreads a 2-10 limit stud 8 game. If you ask the foor they will run an interest list.

The Mohegan Sun runs 5-10 and 10-20 sud ho lo games.

I do not know about California games.

Good luck

It's been a few years, so things might have changed,
but when I used to business travel to San Jose, calif. the
Garden City off of Hwy 280 new Cupertino had a very
good 4/8 stud/8 game.

Kind of a surprise in the land of Hold Em.

When I was at the Taj this weekend, they had $5/$10 stud/8 going. Judging from the outbursts of swearing and temper tantrums, I'm guessing there were at least 2 terrible players /forums/images/icons/wink.gif.

I was at the Trop in Atlantic City last April, and they were regularly spreading 15-30 Stud 8, but their room was dying to the Taj, so it may well be history (the game, not the room).

I'm trying to get a trip to vegas planned to play stud8 and this is not helping. Tell me all about the wealth of games spread everywhere. I think I'm more likely to get good value going to Melbourne and playing at Crown instead.

Nightly, you can find a $2-$10 spread limit Stud/8 game at the Saloon #10 in Deadwood SD.

To Mr. Peterson,

As a fellow fan of stud/8, there are better games
in my hometown than in Las Vegas. But there is no
place like Las Vegas, so travel we must.

The only game I've personally played in is the
3/6 with a kill at the Palace Station. Reading
this board, I've got these games on my scouting
list for an upcoming trip:

Monte Carlo: 1/5, spread every once in a while
Palms: 2/10, double qualifier, spread every Friday,
will play this game next trip
Orleans: 2/10, 20 on the river, not sure how often
it goes, will try this game also

good luck...
