What do you guys think about my river play? I was pretty sure if I raise I'd lose the other 2 payers. I don't think reads are important here.

If you want a better answer you should probably stop the action.

I like this play with an ace on the river, with a 9 I raise.

I think typically you can raise and expect at least one caller to tag along, especially since some were probably calling all the way with A high. Where did Button go after he raised on the river? Called?

Folding this preflop is playing far to tight. This is definetly a profitable hand.

Hero is getting 4.5:1 immediate odds, and can expect at least one extra SB and possibly more. We have an OESD (6 clean outs, 2 maybe dirty) and an overcard. Implied odds are great. The call is fine.

Why???
Fold OESD with 5 people in getting 4.5:1 just because 2 clubs are on the board? Nooooo Waaaaay.....

I like it. I like to switch it up, raise sometimes, call others. Depends if I feel I'll get more action one way or another..just go with the feel of it.

I like raising here with the ace on the river for a few reasons.

1. MP1 seems to have better than top pair, and will think you are fishing for aces and will likely go to war with you.

2. If other people are fishing for aces, they'll call since they hit their pair.

3. They called two cold on the flop, so they either had a strong draw or a made hand (AT, A3, KQ, QJ) they think might be good or might improve). If they had a draw they won't call one bet here, if they have something they'll call 2 cold more often than you'd think.
