If you forget your contact stuff and have your contacts in, what are some alternaitves.

I refuse to go out at 2AM to get another case, plus I am not at home and have no cash on me.

Leaving them in is not an option.

Anyone have any ghetto suggestions?

I've used Dixie cups or glasses before with saline or just tap water to keep them wet overnight. Just make sure someone doesn't wonder why these little cups are set out half full of water and dump them down the drain.

You definitely should not use tap water. It isn't sterile, and contains microorganisms that have the potential to enter your eye and cause blindness, such as Acanthamoeba.

Wow, thanks, I didn't know this and I've kept my lenses in water before.

No problem. I used to as well, and when I told my optometrist he nearly had a fit. Its much better to just sleep with them in, and then sort out the discomfort the next morning.

Did you really just ask some girl you're sleeping with if you could use her computer to ask for 2am contact lens help from your online poker buddies?

i heard somewhere you should soak them in saliva, since it has many of the same chemicals from most of the solutions. its worked for me...

anyone else do this or know anything about this?
