Well, Im not playing but a friend mine won his seat from a small site and promised eachother if either of us won we would buy the other one's plane ticket, so I'll be there.

Apparently, the site is only paying the entry and giving him $1000. they aren't taking care of any of accomadations or flight. anyone have an idea of what hotel rooms would be the most reasonable? havent got anything done yet. need help.

$1000 should be enough to cover room/flight for the both of you. Plenty of good deals online these days. I'm staying at Alladin for 5 nights (july 10-15) for 450/person which is pretty decent.

I would assume that price is including the airfare? If you booked through the aladdin itself, you can get a poker rate /night of 6 hours of play for each night you need discounted. It's like 70 bucks or something. If you did, just call the casino and ask for the poker room.

Not true at all. Many national conventions hosted in Vegas dwarf the WSOP. 10k poker players wouldn't put a dent in room availability.

I'm heading to Vegas this weekend (and just for the weekend) and I got a room at the Orleans for $95 a night.

That's fine by me, because I really like the rooms there. They are big, like 450 sq ft, and quite comfortable.
