July 4th Weekend Best AC Hotel Room Price

I'm heading down to AC on July 4th weekend and planning to stay for 2 nights (7/2 and 7/3). The best price I found so far is in Absecon for $125. Is anyone else going down on July 4th weekend and found a more favorable price? If so what hotel room and how?

I've been looking at AC prices a lot lately, I'm probably going there in late July. $125 sounds pretty fantastic, especially for that weekend. I don't think I found anything lower for the last Saturday in July (the 30th, I think), which I think would be a lighter weekend, and I looked very hard (and made some calls).

Incidentally, we are probably going to rearrange our trip to do some other things (girlfriend's family in Jersey, etc) and get to AC on Sunday so that we can stay at the Trop instead of in Absecon, but obviously this doesn't work for people who don't have a few vacation days. I only hope the 2/4 at the Trop doesn't get strangely tough on Mondays and Tuesdays. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
