View Full Version : Was this a stupid play? Or does this guy have a cheat program!

What do you think of this situation? This was maybe the 5th hand in a $100 online tournament on party poker. I think I probably should have just called the re-raise but obviously the guy who pushed with A9 offsuit is either extremely lucky, stupid, clairvoyant, or somehow controlling the outcome of the flops.... hmmm which brings me to my next question

I watched this guy for the rest of the tournament and he called 85% of the hands and got A LOT of breaks, far to many if you ask me. He ended up winning the whole thing and had some pretty incredible draw outs that makes me wonder.... could it be possible that this guy has some type of software that shows him what the other people are holding? I know that sounds stupid and I am sure many people have speculated this before me, but seriously, is that something you need to worry about when playing online poker?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

He most definitely had a cheat program, probably a turbocharged luckbox as well. They go for thousands on ebay. No one ever sucks out a lot without cheating, it just isn't possible.

I highly suggest you contact the US military and have this taken care of.

Online poker is certainly rigged, that's why we all play it. We LOVE putting our money on the line in a rigged game where it is easy to cheat. After all, that's why they call it gamb00ling.

If he had one, why on earth would he call a QQ push with A9?

And stop stalking me at the tables.

Ok, I guess I knew that was coming. Just frusterated because I saw the same thing happen to a couple other players and thought it looked a little fishy.

But what about my push? Should I have just called his re-raise?

You have QQ. Your opponent has A9.

No.

You've never seen a suck-out before? Of course it was fishy. Just sucked that you lost.

Happened to me Today. 4 players left, I push with KK and a guy calls with A9 and hits 2 pair. I would have been the chip leader ITM, instead I finish 4th. Which felt nice after having busted on my previous table OOTM.

Its not a cheat, just horseshit luck.

Don't worry, consider it a rite of passage, when you are no longer a wannabe, you'll reflect on this post and have a little chuckle.

Poker can be a very frusterating game, sometimes I get so frusterated I break things and then I get even more frusterated trying to put the darn things back together. Frusterating I can tell you.
