Jeter caught it and then dove into the stands. It was a nice catch though.

Yeah, that's why Jeter is as great as he is. He could go 1 for 5 with a single, but that hit will lead to the winning run. And he HUSTLES, man. Do you see the way he runs out grounders? The guy is a true winner and a clubhouse leader. I have no doubt if he played for the Detroit Tigers they would have won 4 championships. Sure, people say things like "Well, the Yankees had great pitchers, and other great hitters besides Jeter", but how many of them would have been great without Jeter? Jeter makes average pitchers look good with his stellar defense. His clubhouse leadership is enough to motivate ANYONE to hit better.

all he said was that the game was a more meaningful game and the catch had a big impact on the game, he's right. you people need to get a grip.

Meh, but it just wasn't anywhere near as nice a catch. Jeter's great on flyballs, though. He should be in center.
