You're going to a desert island by yourself.

You are allowed to bring one CD, one movie, and one meal, what are your choices? You will be supplied with water and vitamins for health, so don't worry about that.

CD: The Bends by Radiohead
DVD: Zoolander
Food: Large Cheese Pizza

As much as I love Radiohead, I think bringing one of their cd's onto a desert island will have you killing yourself much sooner than is necessary.

CD: The Soft Bulletin
DVD: The Big Lebowski
Meal: Steak and baked potato

CD: Garden State Soundtrack
DVD: The Royal Tenenbaums
Dinner: Turkey sandwich and baked potatoe soup.

I think you'll probably commit suicide in under 24 hours with these.

CD: The Beatles One Album
Movie: LOTR: Return of the King
Meal: I love sushi, so the island is a great place to be.

If I had to answer the question: which band that Im a fan of is the hardest to describe, the answer, is the flaming lips.

They're really like nothing else.

If you're interested, I can aim you an album.

Cheese pizza? Isn't that a pizza all the stuff fell off?

CD: A Jim Croce collection. Second choice would probably be Remain in Light.
DVD: I love Rear Window, but seeing too much Grace Kelly and being all alone on a desert island would make me kill myself. Maybe Nights of Cabiria.
Food: to eat over and over again, like from a bottomless pit? A salad with a ton of ingredients like I make 'em would be the only thing that wouldn't gross me out after a while. Spicy and heavy things drive you nuts if you repeat them too much -- you just get sick of them.

A lot of my favorite things are what I'd consider really intense, but that's why I couldn't choose them, because intense stuff wears out its welcome. You love the hell out of it till you need a million years break from it.

Unless this is a dig at the fact that little scotty doesn't even know the title of "the best rap album ever released" as far as he's concerned, then I'm going to have to say you're absolutely incorrect.

Man... I could listen to 2001 for months and months.

#1. Chronic 2001 is not even close to the original chronic. this is ignoring NWA obviously.

#2. Dr Dre is nowhere near the top of best rap albums ever. Maybe in the top 30.

I think the problem here is how we qualify "better." I enjoy 2001 more than The Chronic because I think it is much more listenable. The Chronic definitely changed rap in ways that 2001 never did, and that warrants some merit, but it's not what I place priority on.
