Taking a guess how far down do you think Derek Lee was drafted in most leagues?

5th round, 9th pick in my draft.

ESPN has him at 58th in ML leagues and 27th in NL Only leagues.

A friend of mine is in a salary cap league; that is, everyone has access to the same players, but you only have $30 M to do so. I suggested Derrek Lee, who was only at $5M compared to most of the corner men at $8M - I thought he'd produce just as much, and projections agreed with me. He declined, picking up Michael Cuddyer and Josh Beckett. That worked a little bit, I guess.

11th round, 3rd pick.

9th Round 110 pick overall. I had him in que and the guy before me took him.
