People are basically idiots. They rename songs without knowing who is actually performing it.

The ones that piss me off the most are

The Who - Teenage Wasteland
Bob Dylan - Stairway to Heaven

Also, I really hate when it's a live song or something like that, and the singer is announced in the first 2 seconds of the song, and it is STILL improperly renamed. Frank Sinatra singing I left my Heart in San Francisco. Starts out with "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Dean Martin!!!"

Do people confuse "Stairway to Heaven" with Dylan's "Knockin' on Heavens Door" ?

Well I suppose this demonstrates the problem is much worse than originally thought.

My thoughts exactly. You have to know when to bow out of a thread gracefully.

So the same idiots who are renaming songs are creating websites with the song named incorrectly as well?

This problem makes me think of this (http://www.bash.org/?4753)

I can sort of understand the average person assuming that Teenage Wasteland is the title of that song...if all they'd ever heard was the song played on the radio (or CSI NY), but didn't own the album and/or weren't fans of the Who.

However, to create a lyrics website with multiple incorrectly named songs...that's mind boggling.

You don't need a license to use the internet. Why would all the morons bring their stupidity with them?

The name of the song is "Baba O'Reilly"

Bob Dylan - Stairway to Heaven
