View Full Version : Well I took an almost 24 hour hiatus from poker... *low content*

That's an eternity for a money addict like myself (as I am sure you guys will agree).
Totally cleared my mind of it.
My plan is to just start 8-tabling 33s again, pretending like nothing ever happened. I've pretty much cleared my mind from the effects of the 30 buy-in drop and 25 OOTM streak - just forgot it ever happened.
After all, I STILL have more money this week than I did last week in my bankroll (if you include my MTT wins).
Think this is a bad idea or should I be 4-tabling 11s or something?
Vive la poker king!
P.S. I hope some of you still have respect for my game even after posting a 25 OOTM streak.

I'll dump some money to you at the 33s if it makes you feel better:P
Jokes...good luck.

Um, less than 24 hours isn't a hiatus. It's more like a nap. You should probably take a bit more time. Like 2-3 days or something.
Regardless of what you choose to do, I wish you the best of luck at the tables. Hopefully you have the opposite of what you just did.

I had a 4.5k profit run in 87 sngs, and lost 4k in 134 sngs this week, go figure...these things are fun...

After a really crappy streak I just usually stop playing for the day and start fresh the next day. Being able to forget about your previous day's (or weeks) results in a hurry is extremely important and something I'm trying to work on.

25 in a row is brutal man, Id play a lower limit until you money once or get first place once and then jump back into it, just to remember what it feels like to be a champion again.

Ha!
I've played over 3000 SNG's at the 20 & 30 level at an ROI of around 25%.
I've played ~1500 SNG's at the 50 level with an ROI of just under 20%.
And I've never had a Grand Slam.
Take it as you will. Stick to the 33s until your confidence is back.

Yeah this is way too crazy for me. Like I knew variance was a bitch but wow it is taking me for a roller coaster ride.
I even had a 2+2er sweating me tonight he felt so bad for me, haha.
The sweat helped :-).
Thanks for the encouragement guys!

Aghhhh. I am going on 24 hours myself now too. I am a sick addict, and I'm totally jonesing /images/graemlins/crazy.gif After I had one glass of champagne about 6 hours ago, I promised myself that I wouldn't play tonight. I am so sober its not even funny, but I just don't want to break the promise to myself. /images/graemlins/confused.gif Agh! Peak hours passing by... /images/graemlins/frown.gif

You wanna figure out the probability of doing that?
Nice job Karak, keep it up.
